Did you ever notice that the letters of the Apostle Paul are addressed to the Saints?
I invite you to join me in this new Community of All Saints so that in the Wakefield Area of The Diocese of Leeds we can unite in our calling to be Saints following more closely the example of Jesus.
Discipleship is concerned with our spiritual formation so, if we are eager to deepen discipleship, it seems like a good idea to give serious attention to how that process of formation might be nourished! Some people have found it helpful to develop a Rule of Life in order to provide a healthy framework within which they can be intentional about their formation as Christian disciples.
The Community of All Saints is a new community of Christians following a simple Rule of Life focussed on a threefold intention to
PRAY, GROW and ACT.

To all those in Rome, who are loved by God and called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 1:7 ESV
Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,
To the church of God that is at Corinth, with all the saints who are in the whole of Achaia:
2.Cor 1:1 ESV
Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:”
I. Cor 1:2 KJV
Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,
To the saints in Ephesus, athe faithful in Christ Jesus:
Eph 1:1 NIV
What is a Rule of Life?
A Rule of Life is usually a simple statement of some values or practices which we attempt to follow in order to shape our spiritual journey and formation as disciples. It is a set of principles and practices we build into the rhythm of our daily lives, helping us to deepen our relationship with God and to serve him more faithfully. It will cover:
PRAY: Daily Prayer, Public Worship, Community Prayer
GROW: Bible Reading, Studying opportunities
ACT: Amendment of Life, Acts of Forgiveness, Acts of Generosity
The Community Prayer:
Good and Gracious God,
we thank you for the examples of the valiant women and men
who accepted their call to bear witness to you
in joy and in pain, in suffering, and even in death.
We ask your grace in The Community of All Saints
to be as courageous as they
even in the little things that befall us each day,
that with joy we might grow ever deeper
in our Faith, in our Love and in our Desire
to follow more closely the example of Jesus.
This we ask through Christ our Lord. Amen.
